Motor Learning

As a coach, it’s not enough to simply know what your fighters should do; you also need to know how to get them to do it. Some students are gifted or experienced in a way that they pick up new material easily, while others will require much more thought and effort to coax into the right motion. This class will discuss what has been gleaned from extensive motor learning research on the best ways to cue and coach a movement. Attendees are encouraged to be prepared with examples of motions they have trouble teaching which can be discussed in the class.
